University of Philosophical Research operates under a governing structure using a Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for all policy relating to the control of the institution. As reflected in meeting minutes and actions, the Board of Directors is responsible for directing the institution toward the achievement of its stated mission and the pursuance of established institutional standards.
The Board of Directors exercises ultimate institutional authority over all academic and institution functions. While the Board of Directors is not responsible for the day-to-day decisions of the institution, it does decide all major policies and issues affecting the educational aspects of the institution. The Board of Directors is also responsible for the selection and the evaluation of the institution's President.
